Limelight Productions began in 2005 as an ideal based on original thinking, innovation and inclusiveness.
The company’s constitution was created on the basis of these principles and as a committee we want to ensure that we create strong and fair aims and ideals that will set high standards and demonstrate to members the type of company we wish to be. All members should feel part of the company and know that they have a voice to be heard, whatever the subject.
We feel it is important as a company to be inclusive of all, whether it be within the company or our audiences. We aim to make experience of theatre in general, and our productions in particular, more accessible and therefore more memorable.
We want members to have as much fun as possible at Limelight and become involved in as many aspects of the company as they wish to be, socially as much as performing.
We encourage members to advance their knowledge in all aspects of musical theatre by using the skills of professional production team for each production. By doing this it is our wish that anyone who has performed with ‘Limelight’ will have greater awareness and understanding of stagecraft, making them better performers by drawing on this knowledge in their future productions.
